The Tepi from Bali is a handmade Rapé applicator that is made with great care and attention to detail by skilled craftsmen in Bali. Each applicator is carved from a single piece of wood, which gives it stability and durability. By making it from one piece, the natural beauty and integrity of the wood are preserved without the use of glued parts.
The Tepi is available in different types of wood, each with its own characteristic grain and color, giving each applicator a unique aesthetic and energy. Inspired by the traditional craftsmanship of indigenous peoples, this tepi is ideal for the application of rapé, plant powder from the Amazon, while supporting meditation, grounding and spiritual practices. Please note that due to the handmade nature of this product, there may be slight variations from the patterns shown.
Available in different wood variants:
- Dark Sono: This wood is characterized by its deep, dark color, which appears almost black and occasionally has purple or brown nuances. Dark Sono is particularly dense and resistant, which makes it perfect for detailed carvings. The deep dark colour scheme gives the applicator a luxurious and noble appearance.
- Tamarind: Tamarind wood impresses with its light to golden brown color, which is often interspersed with wavy, darker stripes. It is a hard, durable material that is still easy to work with, ideal for filigree carvings. The contrasting grain makes the applicator a unique, natural work of art.
- Sawo: Also known as sapodilla, this wood displays a warm, reddish-brown coloration that darkens over time and develops a beautiful patina. Sawo is dense and finely structured, which makes it ideal for precise carvings. The rich color and fine texture give the applicator a classic and elegant look.
- Cemara: Known as cypress, this wood is rather soft to medium-hard and has a light, yellowish to pale brown color. It is easy to work with and has a uniform structure, making it ideal for fine carving. The subtle grain and light shade give the applicator a restrained and natural look.
