This ceremonial cocoa is made from high-quality Criollo beans from Colombia. Gentle roasting and slow stone grinding preserve the authentic aroma and texture. The blend is refined with selected spices and the extract of the Tongkat Ali root (Eurycoma longifolia).

Traditional background

Cocoa has been prepared and shared on special occasions in Central and South America for centuries. Tongkat Ali, also known as “Malaysian ginseng”, has a long history of cultural significance in South East Asia. There, the root has traditionally been used in a variety of ways, including as a tonic, for strengthening and, in some cultures, as an aphrodisiac. These references originate from traditional uses and are not to be understood as having a medicinal effect.

Preparation recommendation

1. Roughly chop one portion (approx. 20-50 g).
2. Mix with 150-200 ml warm water or plant milk (do not boil, approx. 45 degrees).
3. Refine with spices or natural sweetness as desired.

Cocoa mass (Theobroma cacao), cocoa butter, spice mix (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, chili), tongkat ali extract (Eurycoma longifolia) 1000 mg per 50 g portion.
