Description

Viva Mainichi-koh sandalwood incense – Japanese fragrance classic since 1912

Experience one of Japan’s most popular fragrances with Viva Mainichi-koh incense. This variety has been part of everyday life in Japan for over 100 years – produced by Nippon Kodo, one of the oldest incense stick manufacturers in the country.

Tradition and significance
Japanese incense sticks(Kō) were introduced from China as early as the 6th century and were mainly used in Buddhist temples. They later found their way into tea ceremonies, meditation practices and even the art of fragrance enjoyment(Kōdō) – the “way of fragrance”. The calm, clear atmosphere they create has been appreciated in Japan for centuries.

Particularly pure – without a bamboo stem
In contrast to Indian incense sticks, Japanese sticks such as Mainichi-koh do not contain a bamboo core. As a result, they burn particularly evenly and almost smoke-free. The warm scent of sandalwood can thus unfold gently and purely – perfect for small rooms or subtle moments.

Modern applications
Use this incense whenever you need clarity, peace or a moment for yourself. Whether for meditation, as part of a ritual, during yoga or simply to switch off in the evening – Viva Mainichi-koh supports you with its soothing fragrance.
