Description

Caboclo Rapé – Tsunu – Vale do Capão

A balanced blend of 50% mapacho and 50% tsunu ash, carefully produced in Vale do Capão. This rapé is traditionally used to gather thoughts, find clarity and strengthen inner focus – ideal for moments of contemplation or spiritual ceremonies.

Tsunu ash in the tradition

The ash comes from the bark of the tsunu tree(Platycyamus regnellii), a tree from the Amazon region. Tsunu is considered particularly powerful in traditional rituals. It symbolizes purification, grounding and mental clarity and has played an important role in the production of rapé for generations.

Caboclo tradition

The term Caboclo describes people of mixed origin – descendants of indigenous people and Europeans – who have developed an independent cultural identity in Brazil. Caboclos combine the knowledge of indigenous traditions with elements of rural Brazilian culture. This synthesis gave rise to their own ceremonies, healing methods and spiritual practices, in which Rapé plays an important role. Caboclo rapés are regarded as a bridge between the worlds: They combine the wisdom of the rainforest with the influences of the rural population, creating a unique approach to this ancient medical tradition.

Vale do Capão – Chapada Diamantina

Vale do Capão is located in the heart of the Chapada Diamantina in Bahia, Brazil – a region known for its mountains, waterfalls and spiritual community. For decades, the valley has attracted seekers, healers and shamans who preserve and pass on the knowledge of plants and ceremonies. Rapé from this valley carries the wild, nourishing energy of this special place.

About the manufacturer

This rapé is made by Igor, a Brazilian from Vale do Capão, Chapada Diamantina, Bahia. He has been dedicated to working with master plants and their traditions for around 20 years. About 10 years ago, he began to study intensively the art of rapé preparation, inspired by the holy spirit Uruman. Along the way, he met various indigenous communities, in particular the Huni Kuin, from whom he learned traditional techniques. He continues to apply this knowledge in his work today with respect and dedication.

Hints

Rapé is a traditional, ritual product and is not intended as a food or medicine.
