This handwoven Mestana altar cloth comes from the Q’ero people of the Cusco region in Peru and carries the powerful symbolism of the Tawa – the four elements of air, fire, water, and earth. Symbolism & Andean Cosmology

• North – White: purity, clarity, spiritual guidance; the snow of the Andean peaks.
