Shipibo Manta with Ponte Kené Pattern – Sacred Geometry
This hand-embroidered Shipibo Manta (also called “Tela” or Altar Cloth) features a particularly dense and symmetrical Ponte Kené pattern – a central symbol within Shipibo Cosmovision. The geometric design represents the sacred energies that flow through all levels of life.
What is Ponte Kené?
In the Shipibo tradition, Kené means “design” or “pattern” – they are visual representations of spiritual information that are perceived in altered states of consciousness, such as through ayahuasca.
Ponte Kené refers to a particularly dense, harmonious pattern that is considered the center of energetic alignment and healing . It has an ordering, protective and balancing effect on a subtle level.
These patterns are not just decoration – they are considered to be carriers of Icaros, the healing chants of shamans, and are also described as “spiritual maps”.
Application and Usage
This manta is particularly suitable as an altar cloth, ceremonial cloth or as a spiritual wall decoration. It carries the frequency of protection, centering and clarity – ideal for meditation rooms, rituals or healing rooms.
