The tongue drum is a fairly new instrument, inspired by the traditional slit drum, which was developed by cultures all over the world – from Indonesia to Africa and South America.
And what is the Lydian scale all about? The Lydian scale sounds particularly mystical and “floating” – it starts on one note and then immediately rises with a whole tone, which gives the sound something bright and positive.
