Beaded Earrings «Condor» – Handmade in Peru
These handmade beaded earrings from Peru symbolise the condor – the majestic bird of the Andes, regarded in Andean tradition as a messenger between heaven and earth. The sweeping shape with its long, flowing fringe evokes the condor’s outstretched wings. Each pair is hand-strung in artisan Chaquira beadwork in the Amazon region (Pucallpa).
The Condor – Symbolism of the Andes
In the Andean cosmovision, the condor embodies the upper world (Hanan Pacha) and stands for vision, freedom and the connection to the Great Spirit. As the largest flying bird of the Andes, it has been revered for centuries as a sacred animal and powerful symbol. The beadwork captures this motif with spread wing shapes and flowing fringe.

Numerous individually strung glass beads (rocailles / Chaquira). The wing-shaped beaded head flows into long, moving fringe that sways with every movement. The clasp is made of chromium steel.
