This colorful Andean cloth is inspired by the traditional mestanas (altar cloths) of the high Andes.
In contrast to hand-woven unique pieces, this shawl was machine-made, which ensures a very uniform structure and precise patterns.
It combines strong colours such as violet, yellow, red, green and blue and expresses the typical symbolism of Andean textiles.
